Ukrainian Company " Energoatom " has received about 600 million Euro loan from the European Bank for restoration and development and the European brotherhood atomic energy intended for modernization of NPP units, informs the press-service of the organization.

an appropriate message is made the head of the organization Yuriy Nedashkovsky during the opening of the representative office of " Energoatom " in Brussels.

According to the press service, Nedashkovsky said that " Energoatom " implements joint projects with European institutions and recently received a loan from the EBRD and Euratom to the amount of 600 million euros to increase the safety and modernization of nuclear power units.

He also noted that the main objectives of the Brussels office is close cooperation with the competent European Commission and the European energy brotherhood for adaptation of Ukrainian norms and regulations to EU standards.

State company " Energoatom " was established in October 1996. The company is the operator of 4 nuclear power plants in Ukraine, which operates fifteen nuclear power units with total installed capacity of 13, 835 GW.
