Naryshkin: request from Serbia punishment is contrary to the equality in the EU
The state Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin believes that the requirement of the European Union from Serbia to connect to the anti-sanctions - this boorish message that has nothing to do with the principles of the sovereign equality of the countries included in this Association.

last week, the European Commissioner for European neighbourhood policy and the negotiations on the extension of Johannes Hahn, the former in Serbia, in an interview to a local newspaper " Evening news " said that the obligation of Serbia, if she wants to join the EU, to impose punishment to Russia. Later, the Prime Minister of Serbia Alexander survived to explain this message, confirmed that his country is committed to the European Union, but will not introduce penalties in relation to Russia.

" Just a few days ago we heard the rough, I would have said boorish message one of the high position of the bureaucrats of the European Union in relation to the independent sovereign state of Serbia. Literally was written: or you join the so-called anti-sanctions, or you have no space in the European Union, " said Naryshkin.

" without a doubt, these steps do not have anything to do with the principles of sovereign equality, nor with the principles of respect for history, culture and traditions of the partner country ", - said the Speaker of the state Duma.

The US and EU do not recognize the annexation of Crimea to Russia and accuse Moscow of interfering in Ukraine. Russia denies it and calls the accusations are unacceptable.
