The ECtHR has made the initiative of Russia to submit its observations on the complaint of Ukraine
The ECtHR has made the initiative of the Russian government to submit its observations on admissibility of 2 inter-state complaints filed by the government of Ukraine in Accordance with article 33 (Intergovernmental Affairs) of the European Convention on human rights against Russia, is reported to have arrived in the Last news press release.

the paper recalls that " the first application concerns the events in the Crimea in March 2014 and in the Eastern regions of Ukraine, the second application concerns the alleged abduction of three groups of children in Eastern Ukraine and their temporary transfer in the Russian Federation in the summer of the current year.

it also States that " in addition to the two inter-state applications, there are well over 160 separate provisions under consideration by the court filed against Ukraine or Russia or both. Of which 20 are connected with the events in the Crimea, the rest of the application associated with the events in Eastern Ukraine.


numerous anti-government protests were started in the South-Eastern regions of Ukraine at the end of February 2014. They were the response of local residents to violent change of power in the country and the subsequent attempt to cancel the Verkhovna Rada of the law granting Russian the status of regional language.
