The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Vitaliy Yarema confirmed on the first day of the week that the General Prosecutor's office together with the Ministry of internal Affairs and security service held 36 searches in the organization of joint stock company " Energoatom ".

" We had 36 searches together with the interior Ministry and the security service of Ukraine on the facts of abuse of power and theft of public funds by officials of the joint stock company " Energoatom ", as a result of which the state suffered losses in a large scale, " said Yarema at a press conference on the results of the inter-Agency meeting on coordination of investigation of crimes on the Maidan.

SE NNEGC " Energoatom " - the largest manufacturer of electricity in Ukraine with a share of the total production of more than 50% of the total electricity production in Ukraine. The company has four operating Ukrainian nuclear power plants with fifteen units, as well as the pumped storage plant and the Alexander HPPs with total installed capacity of 14 139 5 MW. At NNEGC " Energoatom " is entrusted with the functions of the operating company, which is responsible for the safe operation of all power plants in the country.
