The volume of gas in underground storage (UGS) of Ukraine on 17 December was 12, 365 billion cubic meters, a decrease of day 0, 5%, inform the data on the Internet representation of the Association of European operators of the underground gas storages (GSE).

according to the information of the GSE, the level of storage has decreased to 38, 7% with 38, 9% as of December 16, when in Ukrainian underground storage facilities was 12, 427 billion cubic meters of gas.

Ukraine 20 October started off gas from the storage facilities in connection with the beginning of the heating season. Supplies of Russian gas, discontinued since mid-June because of the billions of dollars of debt Kiev resumed on 9 December, after receiving Gazprom prepaid for 1 billion cubic meters.

The head of the Ministry of energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak noted that for the normal passage of winter and ensure uninterrupted transit to the European Union Naftogaz need to buy about 3 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia.
