Died Opera diva Elena Obraztsova Died the celebrated Opera singer Elena Obraztsova. She died in Germany, outlined the Agency TASS Director of the Cultural center Elena Obraztsova Irina Chernova.

Obraztsova was born in 1939 in Leningrad in 1943 it was evacuated together with the family from the besieged city. In 1948-1954 years sang in the children's choir of the Leningrad Palace of pioneers named Zhdanov, then studied at the Music school of the Tchaikovsky in Taganrog. In 1962 he won first prize at the all-Union competition of vocalists named after Glinka, studied at the Conservatory. While still a student, she made her debut at the Bolshoi theatre.

In 1975, Elena Obraztsova, together with the Bolshoi theatre went on tour in the United States. In the process of submitting "Boris Godunov" Obraztsov, who plays Marina Mnishek, 5 times was called on the scene admiring audience: the presentation had to be stopped. The success of Elena Obraztsova in the United States irrevocably confirmed her status stars of the Opera world. In 1975, the artist was recognized in Spain best performer Carmen all over the world.

Her extensive concert repertoire includes works by more than 100 composers of the XVIII-XX centuries: Opera, chamber music, cantatas and oratorios, Church music, Russian folk songs, old songs, classic operetta, Sony and jazz standards. Especially often she performed works by Georgy Sviridov, who dedicated her song cycle "10 songs on poems of Alexander Blok" and created specially for her new edition of his own poems on poems of Sergey Esenin "otchalivshaya Rus', originally written for baritone.

Elena Obraztsova taught at the Tokyo Academy of music and many other academies around the world. Was a noble member of Pushkin Academy, academician of the Russian Academy of art and musical performance, academician of the Russian Academy of arts, member of the International society of friends of the Russian Museum.
