The MEP from Estonia: punishment against the Russian Federation it is necessary to cancel
The MEP from Estonia Yana Toom on speech in the European Parliament said that the EU ought to abandon sanctions imposed against Russia, informs news portal.

The politician said that the punishment is ineffective and does not contribute to the settlement of the armed conflict in the South-East of Ukraine.

" We have to break this evil circle of punishment, which showed that to a large extent been ineffective. We must look for the best solutions, which are based on legal and lawful interests of mutual respect, but most importantly in the interests of the Ukrainian people, " said the people's choice EP.

Estonian Politician also said that Western countries without Russia's participation is not able in full force to help Ukraine to cross the crisis.

" The current economic and energy crisis in Ukraine cannot be solved without the active and positive participation of Russia. We must be realistic. Neither the EU nor other Western countries and institutions do not have the opportunity to offer all the necessary funding. Economic losses of Ukraine is huge, it's caused by the loss of trade with Russia, which still can be restored " - said the people's choice of the European Parliament from Estonia Yana Toom.


The US and EU do not recognize the annexation of Crimea to Russia and accuse Moscow of interfering in Ukraine. Russia denies it and calls the accusations are unacceptable. Western countries since March has repeatedly imposed punishment on a number of Russian politicians, businessmen and organizations and threatened to make wider restrictive measures.
