PACE Committee on monitoring rejected the Most radical amendments to the draft decision on the credentials of the Russian delegation, told reporters, Vice-speaker of the state Duma from the Communist party Ivan Melnikov, which is part of the delegation of the Russian Federation.

"The most radical amendment, there were a large number, were not," said Melnikov.

According to him, among the most radical changes were suggestions about what not to confirm the range of capabilities of the delegation of the Russian Federation, save, adopted in April punishment, deprive of voting rights of the Russian Federation and the right to participate in the governing bodies of the Assembly. He noticed that all of these amendments were rejected.

While Melnikov added that the vote on these amendments were distributed presumably: 19 members in favor and 25 against.

According to the draft decision, the delegation of the Russian Federation in PACE for 2015 has the ability to be disqualified to be appointed as Rapporteur, to be a member of the Commission for the control of the election and submit to the bodies of the Assembly of the Council of Europe. At the same time, Russia returned the right to vote. Along with this, it is noted that the PACE may return to the issue of deprivation of the Russian delegation's voting rights in June, if Russia will not meet the requirements of PACE on the situation in Ukraine. The draft decision will be considered at the meeting of the Assembly on Wednesday.
