Lapland: the U.S. is trying to drive a wedge between Russia and Europe
NATO exercises of the Russian borders aims to increase tensions in the relations with Moscow and put her in a defensive position, says British scientist, Director of research programs of the Institute of democracy and cooperation, John Lofland. This opinion he expressed in conversation.

"Russia is not dangerous for NATO, and for other of their neighbours. Goal is to increase tensions in relations with Russia, then to act more aggressively and to drive the Russian Federation further into a defensive position, " he explained.

for reviews of Lapland, the final Goal of this strategy is to "drive a wedge" between Europe and Russia and to make the transatlantic political and economic Union, based on NATO forces. In the plans of the West, said the scientist, to include in this block and Ukraine.

"The ultimate Goal is the strengthening of existing supranational institutions of the West - the European Union and transatlantic relations. Undoubtedly, the same European officials fully support this. They want Russia was the enemy, because they believe, because it will give legitimacy to their project - Union, " said Lapland.
