A trilateral meeting between Russia, the EU and Ukraine on the implementation of the Treaty on the Union of Kiev and the European Union may take in the coming weeks, But the exact date has not yet, said the Russian Ambassador to the EU Vladimir Chizhov.

Ukraine in the summer of last year signed an Association agreement and free trade area with the EU, However, to begin implementation of the economic part of the document was postponed until the end of 2015.

"Consultation on the implementation of the agreement between Russia, the EU and Ukraine may take in the coming weeks. However, the exact date has not yet, " said Chizhov correspondents.


Among the goals of the Treaty of Union between Ukraine and the EU: the development of the Association, the gradual rapprochement between Ukraine and the EU on the basis of shared values, deepening economic and trade relations, the strengthening of cooperation in the field of justice, freedom and security.

Close attention is paid to the position of the free trade area between Ukraine and the EU (FTA), which should provide a gradual economic integration of Ukraine into the EU internal market. Part of the contract involves the establishment of principles of cooperation in several sectors: energy, industrial policy and entrepreneurship, taxation, tourism and others.
