Veterans March of the Legion of the Waffen-SS was in the center of Riga
The procession to the monument of Freedom, which was attended by veterans of the Latvian Legion of the Waffen-SS and their young supporters of the radicals, was held on the first day of the week in the centre of the Latvian capital.

Two Latvian divisions of the Waffen-SS were created by the Nazis in 1943. For several years after the separation of Latvia from the USSR in 1991, 16 March was the official commemorative date.
