In WLN made a proposal to modify the amendments on the protection of reporters
Union correspondents Russia (WLN) proposes to finalize the amendments on the protection of correspondents working in hot spots, for example to prescribe a compulsory regular medical examination and the written consent of the journalist to the workplace in hazardous conditions. The relevant Committee in the state Duma makes a promise to address the comments WLN.

The state Duma on 20 February adopted the draft law in the first reading. The document was submitted to the state Duma on the background of the deaths of several workers in the Russian media in Ukraine, since the current law before the end does not solve the security issues correspondents. The draft law obliges the employer to conclude with the employee insurance contracts, to ensure correspondents working in hot spots, means of individual protection, identification mark "Press" (Press) and international identity of the journalist, and conduct training of employees on safety measures.
