The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the question of sending peacekeepers in the Donbass needs to be discussed in Minsk format and the decision must be unanimous.
"Against the peacekeeping mission has the opportunity to be vetoed, for this reason, this issue should be discussed in the same format as in Minsk, the conclusion about the direction of peacekeepers has to be unanimous," Poroshenko said in the interview to a TV channel Euronews, reports RIA " Novosti ". Before Thursday, the Organization of collective security Treaty (CSTO) has expressed its preparedness in case of adoption of the necessary decisions to submit its peacekeeping force to resolve conflict situations in the Donbass. Before that, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported that the leadership of the European institutions transferred the appeal to the Council of the European Union with a request for the introduction of troops in Ukraine. On Tuesday, the Council approved the appeal of the President of Petro Poroshenko in the UN security Council and the EU Council on the deployment within the country international peacekeeping and security. For its part the President's press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the question of the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine can be discussed, but we need the consent of both parties to the conflict. Remember, on 14 March, the European Commission received a request Ukraine to send in the Donbass police mission. According to European diplomats, this issue requires careful discussion."
