The state Duma adopted the law on the military service of the residents of Crimea
The state Duma adopted on the last working day of the week in the 2nd and 3rd readings of the law, which predusmatrivaet features of legal regulation of relations connected with the performance of military duty by the inhabitants of the Crimea and Sevastopol.

before a member of the Department of the state Duma defence Franz Klintsevich said that the authors in the creation of changes were guided by the same principles as when making other draft laws that relate to Russian citizens living in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

for example, in the amendments agreed exemption from military service of citizens of Crimea and Sevastopol, which had already served or were exempt from conscription in the Ukraine. Also entitled to exemption from conscription will receive citizens who have a degree that is recognized in Accordance with the Russian legislation on education.

The new law provided for the possibility of delayed up to 6 months for young men who, before the adoption of Russian citizenship were recognized as refugees. Those citizens of Russia, who moved to the Russian territory from the territory of another country and has applied for recognition of internally displaced persons have the opportunity to receive a deferment for the period of consideration of a petition (under the legislation to three months), and in the case of recognition of internally displaced persons - further period of up to 3 months from the date of such recognition.

Crimea and located on the Crimean Peninsula Sevastopol became the Russian regions according to the results of the referendum on 16 March 2014, more than 90% of participants who voted for reunification with Russia. The referendum was a reaction to the coup on 22 February in Kiev.
