A drunk driver ignored warning signals at a railway crossing and was struck by a train, killing four and injuring another four, the press service of Russian Railways (RZD) said Thursday.
The accident occurred at an uncontrolled level crossing between Oryol and Kursk in Central Russia. According to the RZD report, the driver and seven passengers were drunk. Four of them died at the scene, the other four were hospitalized.
No passengers on the train were injured in the accident.
