A joint team will be used in operations under the auspices of the UN and the EU. Among the main tasks of the new military units - participation in international efforts to maintain peace, the strengthening of military cooperation and the development of the foundations for the formation of a battle group of the European Union.
"When We're together, Ukraine and Poland, I am convinced that We are invincible. This realization led to the creation of mutual Ukrainian-Polish-Lithuanian brigade, which soon starts training. We agreed about it to gain full operational capacity, to serve for the maintenance of peace, " said Poroshenko.
"Ukraine and Poland, will take part in multinational military exercises ", - said the Ukrainian leader.
The work of the trilateral project began in November 2009, When the defence Ministers of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine signed a document in which the stated intention was to make a common military unit.
