Russian President Vladimir Putin put his signature to a document that makes changes in the decree, therefore, that a ban on deliveries of anti-aircraft missile systems s-300 to Iran was withdrawn.
The decree removes the ban on transit through the territory of Russia, including air transport, removal from areas of the Russian Federation in the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the transfer of the Islamic Republic of Iran outside of Russia with the use of ships and aircraft under the State flag of the Russian anti-aircraft missile systems s-300" - quoted by TASS news Agency explanatory note to the document. The decree was signed on the background of the merits of success States "six" in negotiations with Iran on its nuclear program power.
The previous implementation of the Russian-Iranian Treaty of 2007 was postponed due to restrictive measures against Iran by the UN in early September 2010. Tehran later challenged the decision in court.
Despite the heterogeneous problems, the Iranian side has often expressed the hope that supplies of Russian Federation directly With-300. At the same time as this in Washington emphasized that supplying Tehran domestic anti-aircraft missile systems could be unacceptable. However reaching agreements on the issues of nuclear energy development in Iran makes financial and military cooperation between States over this.
Remember, a regular round of talks between the "six" (Russia, United States, China, Britain, France and Germany) and Iran ended in Lausanne on 2 April a real breakthrough on the issue of Iran's nuclear program. Sides could reach a compromise on major issues: Tehran has been proposed to reduce the military potential of nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of financial sanctions. It is anticipated that the agreement will be formed by the end of June.
