Veterans of Kiev will celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war, but they have concerns in relation to the Parliament legislative act banning Communist symbols, said the head of the Kyiv organization of veterans of Ukraine Mykola Martynov.
The Ukrainian Parliament on April 9 passed a law condemning the Communist and the Nazi regime, prohibiting the imposition and public use of their logo.
"We will celebrate on may 9, because the law's condemnation (of the Communist regime - ed.) on may 9 remains a Victory," said Martynov.
