The chief Prosecutor's office of Ukraine has not found the accounts of former President Viktor Yanukovych abroad, said Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Vitaliy KASKO.
After the change of power in February of last year in Ukraine, the General Prosecutor's office opened a number of criminal cases against former officials of the government of Yanukovych, accusing them of embezzling state property. On representation of the Prosecutor General of the European Union and certain countries of the EU seized the accounts of individual members of the Yanukovych government.
"according to the presented data, Yanukovych Sr. was not in the habit of storing means in the form of cash, this man is old school, apparently, he gave the advantage to the cash. Needless to say, checked any information, these data checks and financial intelligence to other countries. If they had information about the availability of such funds in the family (Yanukovych - ed.), the data they would have passed, " said KASKO in explanations correspondents on the first day of the week.
Individual penalties against Yanukovych and the people surrounding Him were imposed by the EU in March 2014. Then the number of participants in the sanctions list, as well as among them, Yanukovych and His sons, appealed to the European court of justice, demanding to remove their imposed punishment as illegal.
in March there were messages about the fact that the son of Viktor Yanukovych drowned on lake Baikal and is buried in the Crimea. His brother Alexander on 24 March confirmed that Viktor Yanukovych Jr. is buried on the Peninsula.
