Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said that 10-12 venture funds with capital of over 30 billion roubles would be created in Russia.
He recalled that "such institutions of development as the Russian Venture Company (RVK), the Fund of assistance to development of enterprises` small forms in the scientific and technical sphere and the Russian Fund of Technological Development were created to carry out venture investment." "Many developments have been existing for a long time already and may be effectively used by the Russian Venture Company," Ivanov is sure. "As for the RVK, a contest to select the company?s managers has been held already, three funds, which will begin financing first venture projects already in the near future, have been created."
"As a whole, it is planned to finish capitalizing the company and hold another contest to distribute almost 11 billion roubles before the end of this year," he said. "A total of 10-12 venture funds with capital of over 30 billion roubles will be created".
