The Ministry of defence: Georgia wants to join NATO because of the situation in Ukraine
Denis Voroshilov. Georgia holds out hope for the early entry into NATO because of the situation in Ukraine, said the head of the Ministry of defence of Georgia Tinatin Khidasheli.

"We ask NATO to put Georgia was included in the program of the upcoming NATO summit in the Polish capital. We want to be in the same group with Montenegro (NATO membership). We hope the membership, We are seeking membership because of Russia's actions. Currently We are seeing what is happening in Ukraine, we understand that can happen in Moldova, and Georgia will be next ", - said the head of the defense Ministry, speaking on Tuesday in London.

Institutional cooperation between Georgia and NATO began in 1994, when Georgia became a participant of the program "Partnership for peace" (PfP - Partnership for Peace). After the "rose revolution" of 2004, the cooperation between Georgia and NATO was no less intense.
