Poroshenko sees "the fire war" in the reaction of the militias to the statements about NATO
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko believes that the militias are trying to kindle the " fire of war ", referring to the breakdown of the Minsk agreements in the case of preparation of Kiev for NATO membership.
The head of the DND Alexander Zakharchenko Monday said that the self-proclaimed Donetsk people's Republic will come out of the Minsk agreements if Kiev starts to prepare procedures for accession to NATO.
"When the world, they (militias) were not desired, and for this reason they again are trying to ignite fire of war. Is this real? Clearly, for this reason, I am doing everything in their power to strengthen the armed forces of Ukraine, increase the level of training, armament ", - said Poroshenko in the interview to Ukrainian TV channels on the first day of the weekend, broadcast by the television channel.
The Verkhovna Rada at the beginning of winter last year made changes to 2 of the law, renouncing non-aligned status of the country. Not so long ago adopted the military doctrine provides for the restoration of the course in NATO: Ukraine by 2020 to provide full compatibility of its military power with forces of countries-members of NATO. However, experts believe that Ukraine will not be able to qualify for membership in NATO in the next 20 years.
