At least two people were killed and over 10 injured on Wednesday when a shopping mall partially collapsed in central Jakarta, officials said.
Police said the collapsed part of the building was an unauthorized extension, which had been under construction for the past four months.
Central Jakarta Police Chief Sr. Comr. Hamidin told Metro TV that the whole structure is now on the brink of collapse.
The city administration has given orders for demolition work on the rest of the building to begin later today.
Rescue efforts at the site have been completed, and police and forensics are now working at the scene.
