In India, on Friday morning lost plane with 29 passengers on Board. The plane military-air forces flew to the archipelago and disappeared in the Indian ocean.
Transport aircraft an-32 took off from Chennai at 8:30 a.m. local time and was supposed to land three hours later in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India, said commander Anuran Banerjee.
Air force, Navy and coast guard crews went in search of the plane. Detailed information about who was on Board the aircraft is not yet available. Port Blair is capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Indian territory, consisting of more than 500 Islands - only three dozen of which are inhabited - in the Indian ocean, hundreds of kilometers to the East of the Indian subcontinent.
The airport of Port Blair is an Indian Navy facility that is also used in civil aircraft. At the moment we are searching for the missing aircraft.
