The people responsible for the Downing of flight of airline "Malaysia", will be prosecuted by the courts of the Netherlands, the Ministry of foreign Affairs on Tuesday.
A total of 298 people from 17 countries died when the flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was shot down in Eastern Ukraine in July 2014. Officials have not identified the suspects. Five countries - Australia, Belgium, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Ukraine - in the composition of the joint investigation team decided that any prosecution will take place in the Dutch court, said foreign Minister Bert Koenders.
"The ongoing criminal investigation enjoys almost unanimous support from the international community," said Koenders. "MH17 has demonstrated how a shared tragedy could lead to international cooperation and determination to achieve justice."
In a report from 2016, the group came to the conclusion that the MH17 was shot down by a missile "Buk", brought from Russia, and taken from the Ukrainian villages under the control of Pro-Russian separatists. Russia, which has repeatedly denied involvement in the Downing of the Boeing 777, vetoed the resolution of the UN Security Council for 2015, which has created international Tribunal to prosecute the perpetrators. The Minister of foreign Affairs of great Britain, Boris Johnson supported the decision, calling it "an important step is to consider the perpetrators of this tragedy."
