Russia submitted to the UN General Assembly draft resolution in support of the INF Treaty

. Russia made on the last working day of the week, December 14 for consideration of the UN General Assembly a Draft decision on the preservation of the Contract on destruction of rockets of average and small range, said the press Secretary of the Russian permanent representative to the UN, Feodor Strzygowski.

Document agitates the Russian Federation and the United States and the United States " to continue meeting on the issue on compliance of obligations under the INF Treaty, and again to start a constructive dialogue on strategic issues on the basis of openness, mutual confidence and real opportunities for cooperation, which is of paramount importance, the most in a changing security environment, and nurtures the hope that this dialogue will help further progress in reducing nuclear arms and strengthening international security and stability."

The draft document also suggests that the UN General Assembly called undermining "global strategic stability" any actions contrary to the objectives and provisions of the INF Treaty.
