Rada adopted a law to change the jurisdiction of religious communities
. The Ukrainian Parliament at the second attempt adopted the law on change of jurisdiction of the religious communities, which may deprive the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) of its temples.
The decision was supported by 229 people's deputies with the required minimum of 226 votes.
The document shall be signed by the leader of Ukraine, it will take effect after publication in the official media.
Parishioners will have the right to change the jurisdiction of the communities, making changes in the Charter of the religious organization. For More than two-thirds of the members are required to speak for and to put their signatures under the document. In addition, the conclusion About the change of jurisdiction is subject to registration.
Specifies that the correction of the command has no effect on the right of ownership and other proprietary rights. At the same time it is proposed to Supplement the publication of the law "On freedom of conscience and religious organizations" new proposal: "religious organizations have the opportunity to be restricted in the exercise of the right of ownership only in the cases and manner stipulated by the legislative act."
