The death toll from an outbreak of cholera in Haiti has risen to 2,707 people, the Caribbean country`s health ministry (MSPP) said.
More than 128,000 people have contracted the disease since it broke out in mid-October.
Experts from the World health Organization (WHO) warn that the number of infected may soar to 400,000 within the next few months.
More than $160 million in aid is needed over the next year to quash the outbreak, the United Nations said.
Haiti is still struggling to cope with the aftermath of an earthquake that killed over 250,000 people in January.
