A driving instructor on a tractor collided with a train on a level crossing in northern Russia`s Murmansk region, a rail operator said on Tuesday.
The driver was injured in the collision, but no one on the train was hurt.
Oktyabr Rail said the driving instructor had not been following road safety rules.
"The driver ignored not only the automated stop signals on the crossing but also signals and warnings given by the rail staff," the statement said. "It is remarkable that the driver works as a teacher at a driving school."
The rail company said this was the second collision at the level crossing in two months.
