November 11 - Two men suspected of being involved in a terrorist attack on the Russian North Caucasus city of Nalchik last month were detained early Friday by law enforcement agencies in the far-eastern city of Chita, a local Interior Ministry spokesman said.
Investigators have said that brothers Aslan and Ruslan Kuchmenov, who are in their mid-twenties, took part in the October 13 attack that left 12 civilians dead and more than 100 needing medical attention. They are both now giving evidence.
During the two-days of fighting that ensued after the early morning assault on Nalchik, the security services killed 87 militants and arrested 21. The Interior Ministry said about 200 had been involved in the attack.
