Communist party of Russian Federation began collection of signatures on petition which demands to leave Lenin`s body in Mausoleum.
"Action is timeless and will last until conversation about Lenins reburial will stop", - said secretary of Comminist`s Central Committee Vladimir Kashin.
During last months appeals to reburial of "world proletariat leader" body became more often. Governor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matvienko also joined appeals, noticing that Russia is not Egypt and there is no place for mummies here. One of the latest suggestions belongs to president of Kalmikia Kirsan Ilumzhinov. He suggested paying of million dollars for transfer of body with Mausoleum to capital Elista.
In 2001 president of Russia Vladimir Putin opposed any plans of Lenin`s body reburial.
Embalmed body of Lenin, which is the object of general viewing from his death in 1924, remains the most popular tourist attraction of Moscow.
