Volume of orders, signed in only two first days of international Dubai air show 2005 in United Arab Emirates is more than $20 b. The landlord made the beginning.
Emirates Airlines which is based in Dubai declared it was going to purchase 42 aircrafts Boeing-777 right away after opening of air show. According to the head of the company sheikh Akhmed ben-Said al-Maktum there are 24 aircrafts Boeing-777-300 ER, ten liners 777-200 LR and eight air freighters Boeing-777. The value of this order is $9.7 b. At the same time Akhmed ben-Said signed a contract with American company General Electric which will sell motors GE90-115B for aircrafts Boeing-777. This purchasing costed $2 b.
Dubai air show confirmed wide popularity of family of regional aircrafts A320 of European concern Airbus. Two giants of world aircraft building are competing with each other in collection of orders for future machines, particularly because no one of them could collect enough contracts to provide with payback of projection program.
Russian companies said nothing about conclusion of contracts in Dubai yet.
