Supporters of democratic reforms organized march in Hong Kong. Several thousands of people walked along central streets under leadership of 25 Legislation Assembly members from Democratic party. Demonstrates demanded introduction of direct elections of city head and refusal from planned administrative reform, according to which amount of appointed Legislative Assembly members will increase.
"Peking must understand that Hong Kong is a multi-political town, - announced representative of Democratic party Albert Ho. - In order to govern the town, government must be democratic".
Chinese government announced that democratic election will be introduced in Hong Kong not earlier than in 2012 and refused to increase number of elected delegates in city Legislative Assembly at election of 2008 or hold direct election of city administration head in 2008.
