Accident, which occurred on Chinese Sungari river and led to Amur pollution, unfortunately, will not be the only episode.
It is most likely that this incident is the first in series of ecological problems and cataclysms of regional scale - unavoidable payment for intensive growth of Chinese economics.
By estimates of experts, large areas of country are occupied by industrial objects, wastes of production and consumption. Growing population forces government to cultivate new lands and use 3 times more fertilizers for increasing of the crop capacity of the fields.
In such conditions serious air, water and land pollution are unavoidable. 70% of Chinese reservoirs are polluted, 30% of territory are under influence of acid rains, which also harm neighbors (Japan, in particular). China takes one of leading places by harmful exhausts to atmosphere. From 10 most polluted megapolises of the world, 7 are situated in China. There are no noticeable perspectives of Chinese ecological situation improvement.
