Russian-Ukrainian satellite "Coronas-F" is removed from orbit, and its remains drowned in Indian ocean. Last time officials of Central Flight Control contacted the apparatus on December 6 at 20:08 by Moscow time, before it entered atmosphere.
"It was said with high probability that remains of satellite will fall into ocean. Today the forecasts of Russian scientists became true", - informed representative of Ruscosmos. It was announced in Ruscosmos earlier that exact place of landing will be unknown till latest moment, but satellite is not dangerous for people and environment.
"Deorbit of "Coronas-F" is viewed as ordinary event in Ruscosmos", - was noted in space agency. But last year Russian scientists informed foreign colleagues about impossibility to remove apparatus from orbit correctly and declared the object as "test one". From this moment the trace of satellite was observed by astronomers from several states.
