The first English spoken Russian information TV channel Russia Today cut off broadcasting in connection with the attempt to hack its computer network, says the press-release issued by the channel. "In connection with outer attempts to hack Russia Today network and the suspicion of computer virus, the channel has to cut off the broadcasting until solving the problem", says the press release. Russia Today presents apologies to the audience. The channel started broadcasting on past Saturday. The major share of time is dedicated to news broadcast. A news spot appears every half an hour. Documentaries, subject news about Russia, the program "Russia in details" and other programs were being broadcasted. There are about 360 anchors, correspondents, editors, cutters, directors and other employees, providing broadcasting, with 80 foreign specialists. On the whole there are about 500 employees working on the channel. New channels broadcasting was announced in June, 2005. Technical broadcasting has began since September 15 this year.
