The head of the international Department of the Federation Council, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation on cooperation with Africa Mikhail Margelov 25-27 June in Malabo (Equatorial Guinea) on behalf of the head of state will participate in the 23rd summit of the African Union on agriculture and food security on the continent.
during the summit, Margelov will hold meetings with the heads of delegations (by the heads of States and governments of Angola, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda and Sudan, Burkina Faso, as well as with the President of Equatorial Guinea Theodore Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who in June 2011, visited Moscow. During the visit there was signed a number of agreements, as well as among them for military-technical and energy cooperation. in the framework of the summit the Margelov plans to discuss with African leaders on the issues of political and economic cooperation, as well as to inform them about the Russian position on pressing problems of modern international agenda - Syrian Arab Republic, Iran, Ukraine.
