13 children burnt alive and 2 were hospitalized with serious burns and poisoning as a result of fire in boarding school "Chorbog" for children-invalids in Tajikistan.
As source informed, another 77 rescued children were conveyed to several children`s homes and boarding schools of Dushanbe and neighboring districts.
By testimonies of witnesses, fire brigades arrived to place of accident 30 minutes after fire had started.
"Before arrival of firemen we took all alive children out of the building. We couldn`t enter one wardm which was on fire, and children were not crying there", - said woman Sharipova, living near boarding school.
"Guards of Japan Embassy, situated nearby, were also rescuing the children. There were 10 of us", - added Sharipova.
By her words, arrived firemen carried remains of burnt children, who were sleeping in the ward, where fire started.
Meanwhile, the source at "emergency" station of Dushanbe town informed that at least 50 burnt children with signs of poisoning by carbon monoxide were conveyed to republican center of burns and toxicology until 2 a.m. by Moscow time.
Boarding school "Chorbog" is situated in the center of Dushanbe. At present moment only carbonized walls remained on place of accident.
92 inmates were in boarding school at moment of fire. Children with cerebral spastic infantile paralysis, limited motion activity and mental deviations were brought up in school.
By tentative data, ignition was initiated by overload of electricity supply network because electric radiators were used in boarding school.
By words of a rescuer, extinguishing of fire and evacuation of children were complicated by presence of iron bars on windows of the building.
