Majority of Russian people (62%) know practically nothing about Constitutional Court work. 29% of respondents have heard something about it, and only 2% of the interviewed consider themselves well informed about Constitutional Court, and watch its activity.
At the same time, overwhelming majority (95%) failed to remember any case tried by Constitutional Court for all the time of its existence.
These are results, presented on Thursday in the All-Russian Center of Public Opinion research. The poll was conducted in the middle of February in 128 inhabited localities in 46 regions, districts and republics of Russia, on the threshold of the forthcoming election of Russian Constitutional Court chairman.
