Free concert of Rolling Stones held in Rio-de-Janeiro

Week before celebration of Brazil carnival the country of samba sank into rock-n-roll. Apotheosis of the "rock-n-roll fever" became the concert of legendary "Rolling Stones" group in Rio-de-Janeiro. By estimates of show organizers, over million and a half people gathered at Kopakaba beach. The concert was broadcasted to over than 100 countries in life time.

Police closed all roads to the beach on Saturday morning, which caused confusion on public roads and hour traffic jams. 15 thousand policemen provided the security.

Expectations of audience and fans were surpassed. "Rolling Stones" played almost all hits, including Honky Tonk Woman composed by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards during first visit of Brazil in 1968 and Jagger`s "samba" - Sympathy for the Devil. The concert ended with a joint singing of (I Can Get No) Satisfаction song.

It is remarkable that in rock-n-roll rush Brazilians seemed to forget about main holiday - carnival, which starts next Friday.
