The schedule of alpine skiing competitions at Olympic Games in Torino was changed because of foul weather. On Sunday, February 19, the organizers had to cancel heats of ladies` super giant competitions. The cause of reschedule became powerful snowstorm and low visibility on route, which can cause to serious traumas of sportswomen.
As a reminder, earlier part of combinations (ladies` downhill) was rescheduled from Friday to Saturday because of bad weather. Men were able to compete in super giant on Saturday only from second attempt. Finishes of 17 alpine skiers during first attempt were annulled.
By tentative information, heats of ladies` super giant will be held on Monday afternoon by local time. It should be mentioned that Croat Yaniza Kostelich, who won 4-th Olympic gold in Torino, will not participate in this discipline because of poor state of health.
