The Prime Minister of Latvia Laimdota Straujuma announced that in consequence of Russian sanctions Latvia will lose 55 million euros. She stressed that from the Russian embargo will especially suffer dairy industry power.
Russia for a year has banned the import of products from countries that used against her punishment: United States, Canada, Australia, Norway, and EU countries. The list is not allowed goods were fruit, pork, beef, poultry, cheeses and dairy products, nuts, seeds, fodder and other products.
"The costs are estimated to be approximately 55 million euros. More than fifty percent "go" on dairy branch - she will suffer the most", quotes ITAR-TASS Straujuma. The Prime Minister stressed that it is still only preliminary estimates.

Before the introduction of the ban food exports to Russia accounted for about 3% of the total export of Latvia. Last year, the Republic was sent to the Russian Federation of agricultural products almost 500 million euros.
