The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine wants at a meeting on Wednesday to approve the plan of measures on introduction of visa-free regime with the EU, the document will be displayed in the issuance of biometric passports, which the people of Ukraine in the future will be able to travel to European countries without visas, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
The EU Council of Ministers before blesed the transition to the second phase of liberalization of the visa regime.
" We went to the 2nd stage of visa-free regime, today approved a plan of measures on introduction of visa-free regime for Ukraine. The main question now is, is the issuing of biometric passports. In terms of the measures We are now taking a decision today as to supply the issuance of biometric passports, which the Ukrainians will be able to without a visa to travel to member countries of the European Union ", - said Yatsenyuk on Wednesday, opening a government meeting.
He added that, in his vision, proposed draft plan of measures on introduction of visa-free regime with EU countries the number of passports that will be issued at the first stage of Ukrainians in the amount of 20 thousand per month is insufficient. For reviews of the premiere, this will cause large queues for passport.
