The collection of Scythian gold was removed from the Crimean museums on exhibition in the archaeological Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam in early February, even before the Crimea reunited with Russia.
the collection includes archaeological finds from five museums, and among them 4 Crimean, among them the Central Museum of Tauris and one of the Kiev National Museum of history of Ukraine. The Ministry of culture of Ukraine stated that all the exhibits will be returned to Kiev, because recognized as state property of Ukraine.
However, the Museum in the Netherlands, where exposed controversial Scythian gold from the Crimean Museum, decided not to send the exhibits neither Ukraine nor the Crimea to the decision of the competent judge or the contract between the parties. When this part of the collection of the National Museum of history of Ukraine, it was decided to return.
According to Malgina, each of the museums have provided on this show different number of exhibits. The national Museum of history of Ukraine has sent gold artifacts found in the 70-ies in Novichenko the mound, which is very close to the village of Red in Nizhnegorsky area of the Crimea, and findings from the Donetsk region - the gold lining of the helmet, the sheath, the handle of the Scythian sword and others.
