Officials involved in the shootings on the Maidan fled abroad
The investigation could not detain a single bureaucrat senior from those who have the opportunity to be involved in the shooting of people on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence square) in Kiev, as they all fled abroad, said the head of the interior Ministry of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.
The main Kiev square - Maidan Nezalezhnosti was occupied by supporters of European integration November 21, a day after the announcement of the government of Mykola Azarov on the temporary suspension of the signing of the Treaty of Union with the EU. Later Maidan became the epicenter of conflict between the security forces and active participants. In the process of collision 18-20 February lost his life 67 people and 145 were injured body. Currently, the Prosecutor General's office is investigating the case under the criminal code associated with mass killings.
" Really one of those people who gave the orders for all of these actions, from the top nobody tied, " Avakov said in an interview Ukrainian First national television channel, aired on the first day of the week. The Minister added that all they had fled from Ukraine in February in the first 3 days after the change of power in the country.
In addition Avakov said that the investigation has already established people who shot at people on the Maidan, and they already formulated accusations, but to call them the identity and the number refused, citing the presumption of innocence.
" As far as I know, today it is absolutely clear who was doing the shots, famous citizens, they expressed suspicions, " Avakov said, adding that in the next month the Prosecutor's office will provide a complete picture on the case.
