Poroshenko was invited to perform in the U.S. Congress
The speaker of the house authorized the U.S. Congress John Boehner said Wednesday that invites the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to speak at the General session of Congress on September 18.
" President Hillary Clinton to the Congress is yet another signal that we are firmly supported the hope of his people, " said Boehner.
Poroshenko will become the second President of Ukraine, which will act in Congress. In April 2005 before the American Parliament by the then head of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko.
Poroshenko will visit Washington on 18 September at the invitation of U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama, with whom he will discuss the situation in Ukraine. Preparation for the visit takes place against the background of how the United States continues to accuse the Russian Federation in the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, as well as among them the support of the East-Ukrainian militia. Moscow these accusations fundamentally rejects. The US has already said that will extend assistance to the Ukrainian authorities, including the military, but this assistance, not looking statements Kiev, still does not include weapons or granting Ukraine the status of an ally outside NATO.
