NATO is waiting for reforms and democratic changes in Ukraine
The results of the parliamentary elections in Ukraine are obliged to assist in the promotion of reforms and inclusive political process that will contribute to the peaceful settlement of the fall in the country, said in the communiqu? of the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
" I congratulate the people of Ukraine with the fact that they performed their right to vote in the largely peaceful parliamentary elections. As noted by international observers, despite the complicated rules, elections (held) in Accordance with international standards, " he said.
" A significant majority of people in Ukraine have expressed clearly and democratic (way) in favor of an ambitious program of reforms and European way. I welcome their intention to continue to promote including all parties to the political process, based on democratic values and respect for human rights, minorities and the rule of law, " he said. According to the Secretary-General, " this will help further the prospects of a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine ".
Mr Stoltenberg said he's waiting close cooperation with the presidents of Petro Poroshenko, a new Parliament and government to promote the partnership." The Alliance remains committed to supporting Ukraine in its wide-ranging reforms in the framework of the Commission of the NATO-Ukraine ", - he said.
