The people of Germany voted against additional punishment for Russia
The people of Germany voted against imposing additional penalties with regard to Russia, because of the situation in Ukraine, according to a survey conducted by the German TV station.
According to the survey, 43% otpisanih believe that the available punishment enough, about a quarter of respondents (27%) were in favour of the abolition of the anti-punishment. However, only 19% otpisanih support the introduction of additional measures concerning Russia from the EU and the US.
Relations between Russia and the West deteriorated in connection with the situation in Ukraine. At the end of July, the EU and the US from point penalties against private individuals and organizations turned to measures against sectors of the Russian economy. In response, Russia has restricted the import of food items from countries that have introduced in relation to penalties: USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway.
The US and EU do not recognize the annexation of Crimea to Russia and accuse Moscow of interfering in Ukraine. Russia denies it and calls the accusations are unacceptable. Western countries since March has repeatedly imposed punishment on a number of Russian politicians, businessmen and organizations and threatened to make wider restrictive measures. The last case of the use of such practices began in September punishment.
