Metropolitan state University (MSU) name M. C. University led the new chart universities Agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) for developing countries Europe and Central Asia. Novosibirsk state University shared 2nd place with Charles University, the Czech Republic, RIA " Novosti ". The Agency Quacquarelli Symonds is a chart QS World University Rankings, which is considered one of the most significant global rankings of universities. QS is also a regional chart universities for the BRICS. 1st chart new coverage " QS University Rankings: Developing Europe and Central Asia 2014/15 " posted on Wednesday. It covers 30 countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine. Russia was the leader in the number of universities ranked in the top 100 for this group of countries. In the 1st hundred consisted of 26 Russian higher educational institutions, 10 universities in the Czech Republic and Turkey, nine Polish universities, eight of Kazakhstan universities, six universities of Hungary and Ukraine. Just in the top 100 was the 18 universities from 30 countries of the region. In the 1st ten best universities also joined the Warsaw University (Poland), the University of Tartu (Estonia), Czech technical University in Prague, St. Petersburg state University, Jagiellonian University (Poland), middle East technological University (Turkey) and Masaryk University (Czech Republic). In the process of developing a new rating system was investigated 368 universities, 255 of which has never previously been included in the QS rankings. When this was applied the following criteria for the evaluation of universities: academic reputation, reputation among employers, the ratio of the number of students and employees of the faculty, the share of foreign teachers and foreign students, the proportion of workers with a degree, the effectiveness of Internet resources, the number of articles published per one employee of the teaching staff and the number of citations per published publication.
