Ukraine can contribute to the development of relations of Belarus with the EU in the framework of " Eastern partnership ", said the head Petro Poroshenko.
" We have expressed interest in supporting Belarus, if it deems it possible, in the development of relations in the framework of " Eastern partnership ", - said the head of the country during talks between delegations of the two countries in an expanded format, the President's words quoted by his press service.
As noticed Poroshenko, the story is about the mechanisms of mutually beneficial technology, law, financial resources at different levels of partnership.
" From integrated management, to energy efficiency. We own hand reached sufficient achievements in this sphere ", - said Poroshenko.
The delegations of the two countries discussed a few issues of cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus, for example, in relation to cooperation in the energy sphere and the sphere of security, interregional cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering.
" Eastern partnership " (EAP) is a Program of the open EU's cooperation with six countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The program does not include membership in the EU, but involves political and economic rapprochement. Implementation of the EAP involves the interaction with the partner countries on the basis of 4 thematic platforms: on matters of democracy, economic integration and convergence with EU policies, energy security and relations between people.
